1 John 2:3-11

1 John 2:3-11

Love and Hatred for Fellow Believers
3 We know that we have come to know him if we keep his commands. 4 Whoever says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person. 5 But if anyone obeys his word, love for God[a] is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in him: 6Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.
7 Dear friends, I am not writing you a new command but an old one, which you have had since the beginning. This old command is the message you have heard. 8 Yet I am writing you a new command; its truth is seen in him and in you, because the darkness is passing and the true light is already shining.

9 Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates a brother or sister[b] is still in the darkness. 10 Anyone who loves their brother and sister[c] lives in the light, and there is nothing in them to make them stumble. 11 But anyone who hates a brother or sister is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness. They do not know where they are going, because the darkness has blinded them.

Mark 14: 32 - 42

In Love, I accept everything

Let Your will be done.
Into Your hands I commend myself
In Silence and In Peace

Mark 14:32-42

New American Standard Bible (NASB)

Jesus in Gethsemane
32 They came to a place named Gethsemane; and He said to His disciples, “Sit here until I have prayed.” 33 And He took with Him Peter and [a]James and John, and began to be very distressed and troubled. 34 And He said to them, My soul is deeply grieved to the point of death; remain here and keep watch.” 35 And He went a little beyond them, and fell to the ground and began to pray that if it were possible, the hour might [b]pass Him by.

36 And He was saying, Abba! Father! All things are possible for You; remove this cup from Me; yet not what I will, but what You will.”

37 And He came and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “Simon, are you asleep? Could you not keep watch for one hour? 38 Keep watching and praying that you may not come into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

39 Again He went away and prayed, saying the same [c]words. 40 And again He came and found them sleeping, for their eyes were very heavy; and they did not know what to answer Him. 41 And He came the third time, and said to them, “Are you still sleeping and resting? It is enough; the hour has come; behold, the Son of Man is being [e]betrayed into the hands of sinners. 42 Get up, let us be going; behold, the one who betrays Me is at hand!”

Dear Lord,

Bless, Praise, Glory, Honor and thanks for the gift of prayer. Indeed Your will be done and You did more thank what I will. Planned to only have a medical check up with ate Flor, and we also end up having a very productive lunch together on health and spirituality with a bonus of shopping. Then I picked up the check easily for the Pagudpud - Laoag - Vigan Trip and the bus tickets for White Water Rafting Chico Rivers in Tabuk with out hassle. It rained hard, did not complain because You Lord provided for transfers immediately. Arrived in St. Francis 6pm, still early for the Prayer and Life Workshop, so I went shopping and bought my dream garden accessories solar lights. Got the puzzles for Sagada half the price also, and got my self a cute pink hat. LORD, that is sooooo much more than enough and I great fully thank You for Your will be done.

Regarding the spirit is willing and the body is weak, sigh, will see the orthopedics next week. And will enjoy Your will full of surprises. :D

All I ask and pray in Jesus name AMEN!!!

Luke 2: 41 - 52 (Visual Prayer)

Luke 2:41-52

New International Version (NIV)

The Boy Jesus at the Temple
41 Every year Jesus’ parents went to Jerusalem for the Festival of the Passover. 42 When he was twelve years old, they went up to the festival, according to the custom. 43 After the festival was over, while his parents were returning home, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem, but they were unaware of it.44 Thinking he was in their company, they traveled on for a day. Then they began looking for him among their relatives and friends. 45 When they did not find him, they went back to Jerusalem to look for him. 46 After three days they found him in the temple courts, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions.

47 Everyone who heard him was amazed at his understanding and his answers. 48 When his parents saw him, they were astonished. His mother said to him, “Son, why have you treated us like this? Your father and I have been anxiously searching for you.”
49 “Why were you searching for me?” he asked. “Didn’t you know I had to be in my Father’s house?”[a] 50 But they did not understand what he was saying to them.
51 Then he went down to Nazareth with them and was obedient to them. But his mother treasured all these things in her heart. 52 And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.

The photo and reading tells me

1. Joseph and Mary is very devoted and faithful, following the the traditional visit to the temple to worship with Child Jesus.

2. They are family centered, travelling in caravan.

3. Trustful and confident, that Jesus is safe. But being human as they are, still checked if Jesus is with them going home.

4. Child Jesus in the temple is sooooo full of generosity to share GOD's wisdom with out hesitation and with all confidence.

5. And the church leaders are really open to listen to the wisdom of the Child  Jesus.

6. Mary, in all anxiety and not understanding the reply of Jesus, remains humble, meek, loving and patient.
